Hands - Different ways of drawing/photographing

I am looking to draw/photograph hands but I need to research ways in which it can be done to really represent what I am trying to say. 

I do not know whether I want the hands at the top to be holding each other... because you then won't be able to see the life lines on the palms.

I thought it might be a good idea to do hearts made up of hands. One male and one female. 

I will then draw these.
